I have told LS to allow Terminal to connect to any machine on any port, and yet 
every time I try to ping or telnet or ssh, I get a dialog. Every time.

I've really only been having annoyingly intrusive issue with Terminal, and 
sometimes with Safari. Mail, for example, hasn't asked me for anything except 
permission to load remote images (which I deny).
