Hi Steve, Thanks for the link. I searched my mac for the word "Envelope" and did not see that there is an Envelope Index file in ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData. I'm not sure why my search did not find that result. Do you have an opinion on whether this procedure is a "good thing"? Is it different than using the built-in "Rebuild" option in Mail?
