Hi,

Can anyone recommend a way to convert some old WordPerfect files (from 2001) to
Word?

I tried to open one in Word, thinking (hoping) there might be a built-in
conversion method within Word, but I could not find any such option. I thought
there was a conversion routine at one time, and maybe there was, but I did not
see one my version of Word (from MS Office 2011 for Mac).

I googled briefly, but did not see anything that looked appropriate. This is
likely complicated by the fact that the WordPerfect files were almost surely
created in Windows (I'm not sure WordPerfect ever existed on the Mac, or at
least not for long).

So, does anyone out there know how to convert from a circa-2001 WordPerfect
format to a current Word format? If possible, I would prefer a free solution,
especially since I only have a dozen files. My guess is that the content is a
mix of simple text and some embedded images. A command line solution would be
fine, if accompanied by instructions.

Thanks,

Gregg
