RAID tends sold by specialized companies whose customers don't need to have it 
explained to them why they are paying more than twice as much for an nTB drive 
than the recent sale price for the same size (but non-RAID) commodity unit at 
Fry's or Best Buy.  I suspect LaCie is too far into the commodity marketplace 
to be interested in this much smaller market, artsy-fartsy "designer" cases 
notwithstanding.

The name I hear all the time at AMUG is Firmtek.  No personal experience, since 
I have zero desire for RAID on my Macs.
