Hi all, I have a build script that uses "productsign" to sign a .pkg file near the end of the build. I am using a self-signed certificate I generated locally with Keychain Access. Unfortunately, the build breaks at that point -- the call to productsign produces an error: "An installer signing identity (not an application signing identity) is required for signing flat-style products."
Does anyone know if it's possible to do this with a self-generated cert, or do I have to purchase one from Apple (presumably via ADC)? If it is possible, what are the steps in Keychain Access to produce an "installer signing identity"?
