I had an application before Yosemite that run without problems. When I tried to
launch it for the first time in Yosemite the OS told be the app was damaged and
should be sent to the trash.

I had a friend send me a copy and that time, I could launch it from the
Contents/MacOS/ subfolder. But trying to launch it from the application .app
location led to the same issue. Still, the copy works fine on my friend's
machine (Yosemite too).

I tried to create an application folder (name.app) in which I copied the
original contents folder by folder to see what the problem was, but then even
though I had copied all, the app refused to launch at all.

Does anyone know what could be going on ?
