I have copied my iTunes Media folder from my computer to a NAS, and have also
copied there everything else in my ~/Music folder. Should I

a) delete everything in the ~/Music folder on the NAS except iTunes Media and
delete iTunes Media on my computer, or

b) delete everything in the ~/Music folder on my computer?

I guess that a) is right, but am avoiding Apple’s advice on these matters so as
not to foul up my carefully organised music collection by accidentally
“reorganising” it.

My NAS is currently two 1TB SSD in a QNAP HS-210, raid 1. I neither want nor
need all the QNAP bells and whistles but do not know how to turn them off. And
I would rather not see the NAS three times in the Finder, HS210(SMB), hs210,
HS210(AFP). I do want to move up to four SSD, in a small and easily
transportable case with no fan, preferably with no hard mounting for the 2.5”
drives and with a thunderbolt connection for when I am on the road.

Is that possible? or can I get anywhere close?
