No, it’s not you. We are all permitted to do one really stupid thing while on this planet, and Apple’s new system used up both its corporate allocation and those of its employees, contractors and shareholders, and of all their friends, relations and neighbours. As a result, I’m back with Excel and Word, the latest versions of which are improvements on the old, and which are better in several ways than Numbers and Pages. The old irritations are still around, of course, and you do have to pay.
