When adding an epub to iBooks, iBooks deflates the file and turns it into a
package. these packages (folders) do not work for Calibre or most readers, so I
tried zipping the directory and then renaming the resulting file to "book.epub"
but Calibre still seems to get hung up on it. Also, if I compare the size of
the zipped epub to the file of the epub before iBooks got to it, it's smaller.
pre-ibooks : Book.epub 2.4MB
iBooks : book.epub/ 2.4MB
zipped : Book.epub 880KB
Is there something else to compressing an epos folder into an epub files that I
need to do?
