:-) I don't create gmail accounts everyday on this machine :-) For some reason I started to have smtp problems recently and I decided to remove and reinstall the account since I was not seeing any problem with the settings... > - System Preferences / Internet Account > - "+" icon for Add account / "Add Other Account..." / "Mail Account" Ok, that was it. I kept hitting "Google" and could not find any settings for POP. Thank you.
