The Time Machine problem described in the first link you posted sounds very much like what I am experiencing. Unfortunately, it does not sound like there is a fix for those of us who do not put our disks to sleep or shutdown our macs each night. Hopefully, Apple will fix this soon, but I guess I won't hold my breath. There’s a lot to love about where Apple is going with logging; right new it’s new and in transition and kinda sucky if you expect it to behave the way it used to behave.
