I'm fairly certain that scanning would work wirelessly. I use my Airport Extreme as a router and network switch / printer sharing hub, but not as a wireless access point. I didn't realize when I got it that it wouldn't support scanning through USB. The workaround is to plug the printer USB into my Mac Pro when I need to scan, which isn't very often. I just didn't realize what the issue was at first. -Carl
