How bizarre. I got different, but related symptoms, running the same release.
I dragged the URL to the Desktop. When I clicked on the URL to drag it to a folder, Finder crashed, bam, right off the bat. This happened twice. The third time, it let me drag it to a folder. I opened up that folder, and had no problems launching the URL from there, with Safari either active or quit. > On Nov 12, 2018, at 12:09 PM, Dinse, Gregg (NIH/NIEHS) [C] > <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi, > > I am running MacOSX 10.12.6 and using Safari (12.0.1) as my main web browser. > I always keep a Finder window open (in column view). > > If I want to save a link to the current web page, I often drag the URL to my > desktop.
