Different Time Capsules have different capabilities. I'd have to see the screens as you have them set up. (If you have an icloud.com account, you can send them to me directly at macsrwe@(the same) to evade email attachment limits).
I think the syndrome you describe can be explained by your having created a guest network that goes nowhere, such that when you attach to it, you're suddely not on any working network. You can finesse this by cabling to your TM as you are trying to configure it, and adjusting your service order in Networks such that your cable has a higher priority than your WiFi. At least then you will not get kicked off the network every time you configure the WiFi wrong. You can use your phone or something to check if the guest network works or not, while avoiding having your Mac disconnect. > On Oct 30, 2021, at 8:14 PM, Jean-Christophe Helary > <[email protected]> wrote: > > I’m trying to create 2 different wifi channels from my Time Capsule unit, one > that would be time limited and not the other. > > When I use Airport Utility > Wireless > Create a wireless network, and > connect to that network, Airport Utility tells me that my Time Capsule device > has disappeared from the network.
