There are easier ways of doing this..
In NetInfo Manager there is a 'Security' sub menu.. select
Authenticate under that, enter your admin password, and then select
Enable Root
or, just use 'sudo -s' this will prompt you for the admin
password, and you will then have a 'root' shell.
