I started with PWB Unix in the 1970's and built my own computers then as well,
hence the allusion to the LED's and hex keypads, chortle!
One had to worry with 256 bytes, never mind megs then (ref: Netronics Elf).
Emacs is like Windoze, too many silly control shift key combinations. ;-)
On a serious note, I wonder "WHITHER MACPERL"?????
Now that was a nice set-up for "classic"!
As for an IDE, I've not seen one for Perl.
