I want to set up my iBook to let me develop perl/cgi apps and then run them
in a web browser without being connected to a network.
I've got this working by choosing:
System Preferences
Network
New Location (create a new location)
Configure / Built-in Ethernet
TCP/IP (the tab)
Configure / Manually
Save
Enter this address into the browser: 127.0.0.1
and in works fine.
But when I enter this address into the browser: localhost
it crashes the browser hard.
Am I doing this wrong, or should I just not enter that address?
