Similar thing happened to me on Linux Redhat 6.2 while installing 5.6.0
several months back.
running the tests in question showed that they ran fine. but failed
under the .harness
the DB tests all passed after upgrading the Berkeley DB to 3.2.9.
still, I wonder if I would use it....
---the default install puts everything in a folder outside of your
normal paths, so you have to correct that before building /testing perl.
might be good to have if you needed a quick table without having to
invoke mysql or postgres?!!?
basically the nature of the failed tests look fairly harmless,
however, it looks like declaring the LC_ALL and LANG environment
settings have to be moved inside the scripts if you call on certain
functions the output will certainly be corrupted..
Anybody has more information about the MACOSX implementation of locale
please ...some pointers....
