OS X and SSL

I have a perl cgi logon script I want to run on the built in Apache
webserver. I would like to use SSL to encrypt the password between the
client and server. I looked in the Apache docs and maybe I missed it, but I
could not find how to set it up.

Can anyone here point me in the right direction?
