well, on some level they're similar, but if you actually work with
them they have very different strengths.
HTML::Embperl has a lot of built in "magic" that works extremely
well for automating your pages if it's what you need.
Mason has amazing features for building up a full site.
Embperl is getting more of those features in 2.x I believe and Mason
gives you more flexibility to "roll your own" within the framework
by being more directly "Perlish".
