ok, actually no, but progress has been made,

when I try to import a directory, ala this:

cvs -d:ext:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/mojomail import
mojo2 vendor start

(all one line)

it hangs for a bit, and then tells me politely that:

sw-pr-cvs.sourceforge.net: Connection refused
cvs [import aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if
any)

I also used Ken's

  Host *
     Protocol 1,2

trick in /etc/ssh_config

the docs on the sourceforge site are a bit lacking, is this an OSX-specific
problem, or is this just me being very green when it comes to CVS servers?
:)
