I'm wondering if anyone has successfully compiled jpl - or even just JNI - on macosx? I'm trying to embed perl in java for part of my master's project, and I'm having an awful time getting this to compile... I first tried a package from 8/99, which would get through most of the compilation, then fail at link time. Something about dynamic libraries trying to be moved by the static linker... Then I read that jpl is now included in the standard distribution of perl, so I upgraded to version 5.6.1 and tried installing the jpl version which comes with that, but that doesn't get even as far as the older version - it can't seem to find my java libraries despite judicious editing of Makefile.PL. If anyone has any hints, I'd very much appreciate them! Thanks, Sarah Reilly [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------- This space intentionally left blank.
