Upgrading to 5.6.1 - has someone put together the definitiveanswer?

I just subscribed to this list today (after having failed to upgrade 
to 5.6.1), looked through the archives, and found that there was a 
lot of discussion a couple of months ago about the tweaks needed to 
build 5.6.1 successfully. Can anyone direct me to a resource that 
gives current (as of OS X 10.0.4), step-by-step info on how to make 
5.6.1? Perhaps someone has put up a web page with everything spelled 
out?
