Scott Anguish had previously posted the source for the hfs_apple_module. I believe it is still there if you search. I just compiled it and it works. ...or you can get the module which he posted at Stepwise in the cited article.
you may need to build your own perl module if you have upgraded perl. Not sure about the case where you have rebuilt apache as well.
