I run OSX with no swap disk/file on a relatively low spec machine
(bottom end imac) and have had no problems whatsoever with memory
management in OSX, compared to a daily crash on OS9. I run many memory
crunching aps simultaneously, and the most memory crunching ones are run
using classic.....(eg matlab and maple).

  Although I am not sure the reasons for you posting it on tthis list
when there are much more appropriate "general" MacOSX lists/usenet
groups out there......
