I've just installed it on 10.1.5 without any difficulty.
cgi scripts and libs in cgi-bin, /images, /docs and styles.css in a
subdirectory of the web root, follow the admirably clear installation
instructions and it worked right away.

but that's almost certainly because i develop similar applications and
therefore had Imagemagick and mysql and most of the other requirements
already installed. i only needed to add SOAP::Lite and HTML::Template.

i don't think i'd like installing it from scratch much. A lot of it
would be straightforward, but i remember compiling Imagemagick on osx
was even more horrible than usual. people would probably end up with
fink and most of a complete X11 installation just to get a blog going.

interestingly, it seems to contain a hitherto unknown (to me) poop
engine, more readable than Class::DBI but - i think - probably too
focused on the task at hand to be all that much use elsewhere.

best

will
