Bah, you're too easily swayed! :) Just go all DBI-ish and make the failure action configurable (e.g. use Mac::AppleScript qw(fatal_errors) or Mac::AppleScript->fatal_errors(1), etc.) (and $o->fatal_errors(1) if there are objects used :) -John
