I would like to see a complete example of how pop up an alert (message window) from perl - using camelbones? or ???. Feel free to point me to it. I plan to use this to remind me that I have pending reminders on my calendar. I use Calendar-Reminder as the simple calendar to post the reminders. It creates an xml file which I'll parse each time I login. I'm doing this because the simple calendars I'm familiar with don't have a way of dealing with reminders that were supposed to be sent/popped-up when the computer is turned off. I plan to use this on my ibook - which is not on all the time. Am I re-inventing the wheel here? Thanks, Warren
