I built Perl/Tk 8.00.024 some time ago for Jaguar. Regrettably I have a peculiar problem with the dialog that chooses a path name for opening. (I think I used perl 5.6.1)
It always returns null! Fortunately there is an alternative, but clumsier, widget available that does work... The open file dialog worked fine for my prejaguar versions of OS X. I had a similiar problem with an AIX system I used to administer. To the best of my knowledge I am the only person cursed with this affliction... With the help of some people on comp.lang.perl.tk I put some traces into the library but everything worked fine until the final return, which was munged. On homepage.mac.com/levanj there is a pointer to some of my perl programs, the "csv" program, an editor for tab,comma/whatever separated files has some comments near the top where I have a problem. --Jerry
