I downloaded <Perl-5.8.0-MacOSX.tar> to my server but I do not know how from Terminal to double-click a Package and have it install.
I'm not even sure with Perl 5.8.0 I will have CPAN, the install notes from
< http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/unix_open_source/perl.html >
leave me wondering if this is a valid solution.
The errors most certainly relate to the way Base64 and QuotedPrint were
installed, now if I can just find the versions of those modules to go
with my current version of <Sendmail>.
This is where you missed a key bit of advice -- have the CPAN do the installation for you.
So I am still left with Base64 that seems to be either incompatible or improperly installed relative to Mail::Sendmail.
