Just a quick reference for people trying to reinvent this particular wheel
(not that there's anything wrong with that...)
You might want to compare your solutions with what Gerard Lanois put
together for the Perl Journal a couple of years ago. Might at least stir up
a couple of ideas/caveats. Rest easy non-subscribers, you can throw your
browser at the URL listed below (and similar ones for other articles; note,
however, that if you go via www.tpj.com you still get redirected to the old
login page, which stopped working for me a long time before my subscription
did). I'm not sure how "official" this is --someone mentioned it on
use.perl.org recently-- but the pages are there for your delectation. So
delectate yourself.
