Unfortunately, there is not a Tk module for MacPerl. It was originally
written for UNIX operating systems and then ported to Win32. A port for the
Mac was never done. The Tk module for Perl does not require that Tcl/Tk be
installed on the system.
Sorry. I was originally looking for the same thing. Next I looked at porting
the Tk module to the Mac, but I don't have the time to do so.
One option is the library for integrating Tcl/Tk apps into Perl. It is a
little more difficult to get working on a Mac than other platforms, but you
would write the GUI in Tk and the background processing in Perl. The URL for
this is: www.qub.com/group It is known as Perl-Wish or WishPerl depending on
what you read. It is reported to be compatible with Perl5 on UNIX, Win32
with YeP-perl and MacPerl. It requires Tcl/Tk 8.0.4 and the
Mac::AppleEvents::Simple and Mac::Apps::Launch modules. Give it a try and
let me know how it works...
Good luck...
