Update: the next version of MacPerl will almost certainly be based on
5.6.1. All of our current patches (I am sure there will be more) to get
MacPerl running on the current 5.6.1 sources are included in the source
repository for 5.6.1 (except for the patch to xsubpp, which probably won't
be included in the mainline perl, anytime soon). I wanted to do another
source release earlier this week, but, alas, I have run into some unrelated
roadblocks. I might still do it today.
