Can anyone suggest where I might start looking for the cause of the
following problem I have with MacPerl?

While editing a script in BBEdit 6.1, I go to the Perl menu and
select "Check Syntax". My Mac freezes, or comes up with an error type
10 for MacPerl. I have been running MacPerl scripts every day for
years (and still can) without problem. BBEdit 6.1 works
beautifully... always has. I only have a problem when using MacPerl
through the BBEdit Perl Menu. One more wrinkle: If I edit a MacPerl
script in BBEdit, but make no changes, the syntax check works fine.
If I introduce a deliberate error, checking syntax causes a crash.

7300/180 96MB RAM, MacOS 9.0.4, Virtual Memory ON. Both applications
have been allocated 10MB to run.

I hope someone can help. I love these applications.

Cheers
