Why? libungif has been superceded by giflib upstream [1], so shouldn't we
be preferring giflib in all cases now?

Yeah, we're PREFERRING giflib. As long as libungif remains in the tree, we need to avoid the conflict.

Hence:  path:include/gif_lib.h:giflib

If someone wants to nuke port:libungif (make it a stub that just pulls in giflib), I'll support that.

There's a ticket [1] on this subject. There's still a few ports left that depend on libungif that need to be switched. I couldn't get at least one of them to compile when I switched the dependency though.
