You actually don't need autoclean turned off any more in 1.8 for
archive
mode and the packaging targets to work correctly. (Ticket #10881)
Yeah, I missed this and the auto-upgrade "feature" in the release
notes...
Also ran into troubles with frameworks_dir=/Library/Frameworks and
Python.
And of course x11prefix as well, but disallowing /usr/X11R6 was
intentional.
I guess that's what you get from upgrading on yearly rather than
weekly basis.
