macOS Monterey is officially out. I note that we don't yet have
instructions for installing MacPorts on it at
https://www.macports.org/install.php and we don't seem to have
install .pkg files yet.
I've never either built the .pkg for release or updated the web site,
so I don't feel comfortable doing that on my own.
Josh built the binary installer of MacPorts 2.7.1 for macOS Monterey
today and added it to the GitHub release and to the MacPorts web site.
I'll copy it to the distfiles server.
You rock!
BTW, for the future, would it be useful to get help with this from other
people, or do you guys feel more comfortable doing it?
I don't think we're particularly opposed to other committers building
releases, and the procedures are pretty well documented. The obstacle
for many people is that the packages need to be signed with a Developer
ID certificate.
