Ports should not overwrite your configuration files in etc on
upgrade, but because the port maintainer must often make a special
effort to cause the sample configuration files to be installed with
different names, some ports unfortunately do overwrite your
configuration files. This is probably a bug in that port so if you
find any such port please file a ticket in the issue tracker.
