Do you need any more-it is very long.

Thanks, that's enough to let us know where it's failing.... I don't know why though. I don't have an emf.h on my system either and dia built fine. Could you attach the config.log file? It's in the dia-* directory in the directory identified by "port work dia". I can compare the config.log to mine; maybe it's finding something different on your system and making different decisions than on mine.
