There where some issues in the early days of the betas of 10.13 that prevented
xquartz running on APFS systems. This was fixed and is no longer an issue, i am
running it just fine.

As others had said you *may* run into some issues with macports, or elsewhere,
as it is still rather new. So if you wanted to be conservative wait for the
first .1 update. That said, i am very happy with it.

Before you do update, whenever that is, I very strongly recommend if you aren’t
already making a fully bootable clone of your system before the upgrade, using
applications like superduper or ccc, and verify that the clone works. That way
you can always easily roll back if you want.
