Hello guys, I tried turn my wireless card (atheros airport extreme) into monitor mode but I cannot. Can you help me step by step? When I turn on my macbook and boot ubuntu, if i do 'ifconfig' I get an interfaces named ath0, eth0, lo and wifi0. Now I type in my terminal 'wlanconfig ath create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode monitor' and it response 'ath1', I config this interface correctly with iwconfig and ifconfig, but doesn't work, ifconfig says: 'ath1 Link encap:UNSPEC' and I don't like this.
