Hi,

I'm new to the list, and new to intel macs, I've installed fedora core 6
test 3 and was impressed at how much was just working. For wifi I have
built a couple of madwifi RPMS by hacking at the livna rpms for FC5 and
I'll be posting these on my blog in the next few days if anyone would
like them. They are working with kernel-2.6.18-1.2708.fc6, and should
build on all other FC6 kernels.

... anyway ...

Most of the machine is working really well now, inc Aiglx but I can't
seem to get the synaptics touchpad driver to work in X

>From the X log I get the following output

(II) Synaptics touchpad driver version 0.14.4 (1404)
Synaptics Touchpad no synaptics event device found (checked 16 nodes)
(**) Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
(**) Option "SHMConfig" "true"
(**) Option "HorizScrollDelta" "0"
Query no Synaptics: 6003C8
(EE) Synaptics Touchpad no synaptics touchpad detected and no repeater
device
(EE) Synaptics Touchpad Unable to query/initialize Synaptics hardware.
(EE) PreInit failed for input device "Synaptics Touchpad"
(II) UnloadModule: "synaptics"

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as how I might work around this
as I really need to have some good touchpad support, I'm especially
after the magic two finger right click as mapping a key is bugging me.

Any information or hacks on getting this to work are much appreciated.
Please bare in mind I am new to this machine so I don't know all the ins
and outs yet.

Kind Regards,

Thanks in advance,

K,
