Hi everybody, this is my first message so i would like to say that you are making a very very very.... very goooooood work making linux to run on a mac intel based. Now, a newbie question, i've got a new macbook pro (core 2 duo, ati radeon mobility x1600....) with a triple boot (OsX, Gentoo GNU/Linux and Windows), i use Gentoo linux distro with gentoo-sources 2.6.18-r6, patched with mactel patches for the kernel. I've installed proprietary ATI drivers because the opensource one doesn't support my graphic card, i'm running Xgl with beryl. I like to play games also on linux but this is not possible under Xgl so i use xgame to play games: xgame simply lunch another X server without Xgl and the game selected in it (without any window manager because it's not necessary), when you close the game or the program lunched with xgame, the second X server is closed and you return to the previous Xgl/beryl desktop. After this long explanation i got 2 question that are irresolved also googling around i can't set everything working the way i like. 1) The X server launched from xgame is a X server at 16 bit and not 24, can't understand why infact xgame uses the normal xorg (/etc/X11/xorg.conf), so is there anyone out there with a good xorg.conf or wich can give me a reason for that (the Xgl server is running at 24 bit)?
2) I've used xmodmap to remap the right apple key to a Alt_Gr key (Alt_R), but when i do apple+ò key i can't get the usual "@" simbol (italian layout), so how can i make it working? I think that the apple key is acting like i want but the ò key doesn't "understand" the combination. Thanks in advice for the help!!
