Hi All,

I have Ubuntu Edgy installed on an MBP core 2 duo with a vanilla
2.6.18.6 kernel upgraded with all the mactel patches applied. I have
several problems and I'd like to ask if any has had and resolved
similar problems:

1. ndiswrapper (v1.32) loads the dwa645 windows driver for the
wireless card without any complaint but when I scan for networks I
don't find any. Before installing the new kernel i was able to detect
my wireless network using the default Ubuntu kernel and ndiswrapper
install so something has changed in upgrading ndiswrapper or the
kernel. Might my careless installation of all the mactel patches be
part of the problem?

2. Suspend to ram also used to work much better with the default
Ubuntu kernel. I don't recall if it worked perfectly but it was
certainly more consistent than it currently is. I'm guessing this is
either due to an over-exuberant application of patches or to
customizations in the Ubuntu kernel that aren't available in the
vanilla kernels. Anyone got suspend working smoothly with vanilla
2.6.18?

3. I'm still not crazy about the way my touchpad works even though
I've borrowed Xorg settings from some people on this list (I'm using
the synaptic driver but I think my settings still need tweaking). If
anyone has managed to get what they consider very good settings maybe
they could post them.

thanks,
Sheer
