Currently I'm running it on a self-compiled 7.2 X server, but one week ago I just installed it against my Ubuntu Edgy X7.1 and it was working nicely. I simply did: $ git clone git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/driver/xf86-video-intel $ cd xf86-video-intel $ git checkout modesetting $ ./autogen.sh and then copied the two resulting libs over the ones provided with my installation.
