Hello, I'm a newbie in this mailing list and, most of all, I'm a newbie in mac-world. Even if I use linux from 2000, I'm not very able with it, so I need some help. I have a Slackware on my old pc (not mac), and I would like to install slackare on my new MacBook too. I divided my hard disk space with bootcamp, than I install rEFIt and I start with the slack's dvd boot in order to finish the partition, but... as soon as the dvd load the kernel, before starting the setup, I get the message "no keyboard found". Someone can help me?
Anyway, I see a lot of how-to talking about ubuntu on a macbook... what is, in your opinion, the linux distribution that works better? A friend of mine told me that linux on macintel use too much the CPU. Is that right? What kind of problem can I cause to the hardware if I use linux on my macbook? How can I avoid those problems? Many thanks, Arwan -- "Quelli come me, ovunque vadano, saranno sempre la metà di qualcosa. Ma non il tutto." ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
