Same here too (with lilo, I have never tried Grub on this machine), and I did not notice any relevance of Mac OS being shut down before or not. Speaking of which, how about battery information? Do you guys have it all the time? I am loosing it after some hours of uptime, and the only solution I found is to boot into Mac OS (case in which the battery information re-appears in /proc/acpi).
