Same here too (with lilo, I have never tried Grub on this machine),
and I did not notice any relevance of Mac OS being shut down before or
not.

Speaking of which, how about battery information?  Do you guys have it
all the time?  I am loosing it after some hours of uptime, and the
only solution I found is to boot into Mac OS (case in which the
battery information re-appears in /proc/acpi).  Does this happen to
anybody else than me?  Could this be a related problem?

It does not have to do anything to cleaning the PRAM, at least in my
case (I did it, with no change).  So it is more likely that the bug is
elsewhere (refit or something else).

I am running a 64-bit installation by the way; my kernel config can be
seen at <http://turing.ubishops.ca/misc/config-2.6.19-mactel>.
