The good ol' VESA framebuffer (vga=792) works like a charm here (MPB Core 2 Duo, 64-bit). > 2) you have to exit from X, otherwise the kernel will reboot Try if you can ati-drivers 8.30.3, everything larger than this will do what you say (tested with 8.32.5 and 8.33.6). With this the machine wakes up but at times the process produces kernel oops (I however switched recently to a 2.6.19.2 kernel, maybe this will help the issue). Anyway, unfortunately, 8.30.3 does not appear to build under kernel 2.6.20. I am now under a 2.6.19 kernel (2.6.19 until yesterday, now I am playing with 2.6.19.2) as a consequence. Have you figure out how to enable the F-keys first behaviour in usbhid? I tried to look for it in the source but that particular section changed dramatically so I was unsuccessful. By the way, do you also get the battery information disappearing some hours (even less at times) after reboot? In case it helps, my kernel configs are at: http://turing.ubishops.ca/misc/config-2.6.19.2-mactel http://turing.ubishops.ca/misc/config-2.6.20-mactel Cheers, Stefan -- If it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't.
