hi tino,
i used the debian testing netinst. to install.
the command above doesn't show anything...but here are two screenshots
from my commandline alsamixer.

http://kulturserver-nrw.de/home/stklg/alsamixer2.jpg
i use different kernels. 2.6.18.6 with mactel svn patches and realtime
lsm patch.
2.6.20-rc6-rt6 with mactel patches and realtime preemption patch.
with some testversions i had compiled befor i had no input at all or a
distorted audio in. since i found this thing with the arrow tabs it all
works.
sometime i need to use the 2.6.18.6 because on the higher versions
parallels driver would not compile.
i have analog devices connected as a selfmade
synthesizer/midicontroller, bass and and analog hardware mixer which
sends to the line in. an edirol um2 for midi.
the 2.6.20 patches i got from a posting in this list.
so far
yann
