Hello list,
I have a MacBook Pro with a Core Duo T2600. I noticed
that /proc/acpi/processor/CPU0/power says:
active state: C3
max_cstate: C8
bus master activity: 00000000
maximum allowed latency: 16000 usec
states:
C1: type[C1] promotion[C2] demotion[--]
latency[001] usage[00000200] duration[00000000000000000000]
C2: type[C2] promotion[C3] demotion[C1]
latency[001] usage[00032790] duration[00000000000193956380]
*C3: type[C3] promotion[--] demotion[C2]
latency[055] usage[00343148] duration[00000000002546666815]
why aren't the higher power states available if the cpu is known to have
power states up to C8? I am using vanilla 2.6.20 with the mactel
patches.
Thanks already,
nick
